The Goddess Within

In the wisdom teachings of the Divine Feminine, there are certain earth cycles, which open a gateway between the higher planes of existence and the earth plane. These moments of enhanced connection allow us to view the rhythm and timing of the goddess in her form as mother nature.

First Kiss of Spring

Spring, the mere mention of the word tingles my senses, reminding me of hope, renewal and a chance to begin everything in life anew.
On a deeper level, I seem to remember past lives as a fair celtic maiden, playing hide and seek in the woods with friends, and delighting in the discovery of a meadow of flowers, plucking a handful of them to make herbal concoctions and a potion or two for safekeeping.

Midsummer, celebrated around the time of Summer Solstice in New Orleans is celebrated in a festival also known as St. John’s Eve.
During Midsummer, it is said that the Goddess manifests as Mother Earth and the God as the Sun King. In Celtic lore, it regarded as the best time to see fairies and in pagan times it was the feast of the Goddess Aine. In later days as Christianity took over the holidays from the pagans, they changed the festivals to feasts for Saints.
Currently in Catholic celebrations, June 23rd is known as St. John’s Eve, with St. John’s Day celebrated on the 24th, as the day of his birth, though it is not confirmed whether this is the actual day of his birth. In my last newsletter, I asked if you have an animal totem that you are connecting with, and I mentioned that I’ve had a wide variety of animals come to me lately including: (coyote/manatee/pelican/peacock/dragonfly/snail/dog/heron/racoon/owl and butterfly). Each of their appearances in my life have been profound as they were focused on gaining my attention and wanting to engage with me – at times to warn me of things to come and in most cases, to teach me more about what’s going on in and around me.
Spirit sends messages to us daily in a variety of ways to communicate with us and animals are one of the messengers. When it’s possible, Spirit will send the animals directly to engage with you in person and when it’s not, they will send them in their astral form and in your dreams.
