The Tea That Threw a Garden Party

Today’s tea felt like walking into an unexpected garden party that you only found out about when a friend asked you last minute to be their plus one.  

It's called Wellness Tea, by Creano, an organic blend featuring spearmint, nettle leaves, fennel, lemon balm, licorice root, green tea, mate, with natural notes of grapefruit, spirulina, and burdock root—and the first thing that crossed my mind was this... This tea is like a Chex Mix situation. Individually, each ingredient is interesting. But together, they become something better than the sum of their parts.

Meet the Guests...

The back porch door opens, and Spearmint is the first to arrive, chatting away and instantly uplifting, Spearmint is the one who opens the windows, makes everyone breathe deeper, and gets fresh with you.  If Spearmint was a zodiac sign, he would be a Gemini. Bright, refreshing and quick-witted. Spearmint clears the air and gets conversation flowing. A Gemini energy through and through — light, clever, and impossible not to notice.

Right behind him is Lemon Balm, the calm friend with exceptional emotional intelligence. She brings nervous systems down a notch, smooths conversations, and reminds everyone it’s okay to relax.  Lemon Balm is the sign of Cancer. Soothing and calming to the nervous system. Lemon Balm checks in with everyone and creates emotional safety. 

Nettle Leaf shows up next—quiet, grounded and deeply supportive. Nettle doesn’t talk much, but everyone feels stronger just knowing she’s in the room. She’s the one who brought something nourishing and practical to share, because she cares.  Nettle Leaf is a Virgo. Quietly powerful and profoundly competent. Nettle doesn’t need attention, she is the support system. Her Virgo side brings the “you’ll feel better tomorrow” energy.

Then comes Fennel, warm and slightly sweet, and laughing softly. Fennel makes sure no one feels uncomfortable and that everything settles nicely.  Fennel is a Sagittarius. Warm and optimistic. he keeps things moving (in every sense) and brings humor and ease. His Sagittarius energy says, “Relax — it’ll all work out.”

Licorice Root arrives with a velvet voice and a grounding presence. She’s the harmonizer, the one who smooths sharp edges and adds depth. Her presence is noted as she enters the party.  Licorice Root is a Capricorn, grounded, authoritative, and quietly commanding. Licorice stabilizes everything with her Capricorn energy, serious, enduring, and essential.

In walk Green Tea and Mate, together, because of course they are attracted to each other. Green Tea is alert, thoughtful, and quietly focused. She is a Libra, balanced, refined, and harmonizing. Green tea doesn’t overpower — she smooths, aligns, and her Libra energy keeps the peace and makes the blend feel cohesive.

Mate is energized, enthusiastic, and ready to keep the party going all day.  Mate is an Aries. Bold, energetic, and ready to keep things going. Mate brings momentum, drive, and stamina with Aries energy that says, “Let’s do this — all day.”  And then, just when you think everyone has arrived...

Grapefruit bursts in with sparkle, brightness, and a little sass.. Grapefruit is a Leo. Bright, sunny, dramatic (in a good way), and mood-lifting. Grapefruit enters the room glowing, adding sparkle and confidence. She's a Leo energy that brings joy and visibility.

Spirulina follows, intensely nutritious, and slightly mysterious. Spirulina is a Scorpio, deep, intense and transformational. Spirulina doesn’t explain herself — she changes you. She is Scorpio energy at its finest, powerful, detoxifying, and unapologetically potent.

Burdock Root anchors the whole gathering, earthy and wise, making sure no one floats off into chaos. Burdock Root is a Taurus, grounding, sensual, and stabilizing. Burdock roots the entire blend, offering nourishment and strength. He's Taurus energy that says, “Slow down, I got you.”

And just like Chex Mix, no one ingredient is meant to carry the whole experience. The crunch needs the salt. The salt needs the sweet and the sweet needs the unexpected bite. It’s the kind of blend that supports your body while making your mind say, “Oh, this is nice.”
