The other day while I was thinking about all of the different types of teas and their personalities, the thought occurred to me that...

If Earl Grey is the hedge fund of teas, then it’s only fair to say that:

Matcha is a startup and Chamomile is a trust fund.

And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

Matcha bursts onto the scene with big ideas and bigger energy.

She’s bright, highly visible, and full of ambition. Matcha believes in disruption. She has a pitch deck. She talks about optimization, efficiency, and “maximizing potential.”

Matcha doesn’t steep — she launches.

She delivers immediate focus and the unmistakable sense of “I could do anything right now.” She’s the tea you drink when you’re building something, pushing boundaries, or working late fueled by vision and adrenaline.

Physically, matcha offers:

• enhanced concentration

• antioxidants

Energetically, she activates the solar plexus and third eye — confidence, clarity, and drive.

Matcha is exciting.

She might also text you at 2 a.m. about a new idea.

Chamomile, by contrast, has never needed to prove anything.

She arrives golden and entirely unbothered. Chamomile has inheritance energy. She doesn’t rush. She doesn’t compete. She doesn’t worry about outcomes.

Chamomile doesn’t chase success. She embodies it, the kind that comes from safety, support, and deep-rooted stability.

She soothes the nervous system, calms digestion, and dissolves stress. Energetically, she works with the heart and solar plexus, offering emotional security and ease.

Matcha builds the future. Chamomile protects the present.

One fuels ambition. The other preserves wellbeing.

Without matcha, nothing gets started.
Without chamomile, nothing lasts.
