This year my Halloween decor inspiration came from my writing. I wanted to create a display of what a writer's desk might look like during Halloween and in my case, maybe all year long, ha!
So I gathered items from around my home and voila, I created my spooky version of a Writer's Desk on Halloween. I added a couple of my books here that are especially fun to read at Halloween: Spirits of New Orleans and Ghosthunting North Carolina.
Over in the Living Room, I plopped some pumpkins near the sofa. This year I went with texture being the focus for the pumpkins, in leather, sequins, and chenille.
Adding fun pillows to my chairs, with a 3D gauze effect on the witches dress and for the ghosts.
The fireplace mantle was an ode to black and white this year, with a subtle punch of orange.
Closer view of everything on the mantle....
In comparison to other years, I kept the Halloween decor to a minimum this year. I do however, like to create one new design each year. This year it was my sea witch, who watcheds the world around her from her window as she waits for the moon to come out each night.
Wishing you all a very happy season of interior decor as you prepare for the holidays!
