Today’s cup brought a different kind of enliglhtenment.
After the lively duo that was Lemon & Ginger yesterday, today’s blend whispered to me with a much gentler voice. This morning’s tea was Abend-Tee, an organic herbal spice blend in a cool pyramid shape from Creano.

“Abend” means evening in German, and while I drank it in the morning, the energy was unmistakably a sunset — the soft exhale after a long day, the glow after the heat, the quiet gathering of oneself.
This tea welcomed me into its space, like stepping into a lamplit room after being outdoors in winter and hearing a soft voice say, “You’re home now.”
It took me a moment to connect with this tea as it wasn't as strong as the others I had tried. Then I realized what was different, it wasn't the tea, it was the new mug that I was using.
I decided yesterday to enhance my journey, by trying tea in different types of mugs and cups. Up until today, I had been using the same cup each day. I purchased some new cups to try including the one I used today with this sparkling bird and the term "wing it" on the other side.

The mug is so fun and a lot larger than the cup I was previously using. As I continued to sip, I realized that I should have seeped the tea longer and perhaps added a second tea bag, as this mug is so much larger than what I had been using. This is why at first, this tea seemed milder to me, and of course it was for it contained more water. I now will adjust accordingly to the size of the mug. Luckily my Creano set included four bags of each type of tea, so I get to try it again!
Back to spilling the tea...

Abend-Tee is a composition of herbs and spices that lean toward comfort, grounding, and emotional unwinding. And although Creano keeps their blends elegantly simple, the energy of Abend-Tee is anything but.
While the specific ingredients vary slightly by batch, Abend-Tee traditionally includes a symphony of:
Cinnamon — warming, comforting, protective; activates circulation and helps the body release anxiety
Chamomile or floral notes — softening, soothing, heart-calming
Ginger (light) — a gentle fire that helps you let go rather than rev up
Anise or fennel — grounding, sweet, harmonizing the digestive and emotional body
Citrus peel — a small, bright lift that keeps you from sinking too deep
Together, these herbs act like an evening ritual in a cup. Physically, they soothe digestion, relax muscle tension, support deeper breathing, and bring warmth without stimulation.
Energetically, they work on:
the heart (softening hard edges)
the solar plexus (releasing the day’s burdens)
the root (grounding and bringing you back into your body)
Abend-Tee invites you to:
soften your nervous system
trust the exhale
come back into your center
let your intuition have space to rise
It’s not a tea of beginnings like peppermint. It’s a tea of coming home energetically.
It reminds us that rest is sacred and softness is just as powerful as fire.
As I sipped, a thought floated through...
If teas were archetypes, Abend-Tee would be the hunky gentle guardian who sits beside your bed at night, whispering stories, and brushing the weight off your shoulders so you don’t carry it into tomorrow.
He is the keeper of the doorway between day and night. The tea that tells all the frantic pieces of yourself, Don't worry, I got you.
And yes — drinking an evening tea in the morning felt like a little bit of rebellion. A reminder that my tea traveling tales aren’t about rules… they’re about observation. And today, my soulful self wanted warmth, comfort, and a soft landing.
Abend-Tee said to me, “Not everything can be known or understood— some things simply need space to settle.”
Here’s to softness, transition, and the quiet magic of being lovingly gathered back into yourself.
With warmth and deep intention, your tea-totaling sommelier,
