Celebrating Connection with Soulful Intention

The tradition of Thanksgiving provides an opportunity to celebrate abundance, gratitude and reflection with family and friends.

We symbolize abundance in the dinner feast (Body) and express our gratitude (Mind) to those seated around the table.  The reflection (Spirit) comes from looking back at this year at what we experienced and how we have grown.

If you’re reading this newsletter, you know I love to share tips on how we can continue to grow spiritually along our sacred journeys. The holidays always supply ample opportunities to do just this.

I know you’ve probably got your Thanksgiving dinner arranged and that you have been mindful of gratitude for the love, life, laughter and goodness in your life.

So my job here as your travel guide to the other side, is to offer some tips on how to take this journey deeper and immerse your spiritual self into the experience.

Here’s How

In the mainstream consciousness, we often hear people complaining about this day, the stress of travel, family members that quarrel at dinner and well, you don’t need me to give you a list of things people complain about on this day or this year.

So instead, let’s take that energy and turn it around….

In this spirit of thanks and giving, take the time this evening in your prayers or meditation practice to offer gratitude to each person you met this year, whether the encounter appeared to have been positive or not.

With this conscious act and intention….

You are tuning into your personal power

with this act

and stating to each person in your life –

Thanks For Giving!

You are acknowledging that you are a

Spiritual Being

who is on a journey

learning from each person, place and experience.

By doing this, each person who created an experience and impact on your journey is honored at the soul level. While you may not have enjoyed the experience, you learned from it and in this act of soul wisdom and deeper understanding, you energetically change each experience into gratitude.

In life it is difficult to fully understand what we have not personally experienced. Thus, the journey of life is one of seeking experiences. From experience comes knowledge and applied knowledge ripens into wisdom.

In order to help us have more experiences, all people we encounter simultaneously become our teachers and students.

By honoring the experience of every person we meet, whether that meeting was positive or negative, each moment becomes sacred with personal divine soul growth value representing that all encounters present the opportunity to learn and grow.

When we gather (harvest) the wisdom from these experiences, we then take the opportunity of ThanksFORgiving to release this energy (prune), so that we are ready to begin the new year with a clean slate.

By letting go of our negative limiting thoughts and actions (what has been reaped and sown), we change the future by manifesting an open, positive and receptive atmosphere to bring new ideas, experiences and energy to fruition.

Of great importance to remember during this time is that the only constant in life is change. Life altering events will occur, choices are made, and actions are generated on a daily basis. While the past cannot be altered, the bountiful harvest of wisdom gained from each experience is a gift.

Life can present us with great tragedy and tremendous joy. With a discerning mind, an open heart and a willing spirit, we can locate the wisdom and insight to plant as seeds for our future.

Ask Your Guests to Join In:
To connect your guests with the spirit of the celebration, ask them to bring an item that signifies what they “harvested” this year, whether in their garden or in their life.  For example, one could bring honey, which signifies they have learned how to appreciate the sweetness in life.

At dinner ask each person to share what they have learned this year regarding gratitude, abundance, growth or creativity and then offer a toast to each experience with red wine or apple or grape juice.

Enjoying this dinner with friends and family can lead to empowering conversations, creating the opportunity for each guest to reflect on the good in their lives and reaffirm their commitment to go forth and create their dreams in the New Year.

Look at You! Here you are mastering this journey!

You my dear sweet friend have got this!

You are getting your Masters Degree

in Thank U and Love U!

Happy Thanksgiving, Wishing You All a Loving Day Filled with Laughter and Light, and of course, a little bit of Wisdom from Experience too 😉
