A lot of people never try yoga because they see photos of people in such challenging positions

that it seems impossible to imagine themselves twisting their body into those shapes and directions.

Yet a core principle of yoga is of benefit to one’s state of mind, even more so than the body.
Moving the body simply clears the energy so that the mind body spirit can communicate and reconnect.
Here’s a form of Yoga that almost anyone can try and it only takes a few minutes to do in the morning.
I promise this can easily fit into your schedule, no matter how busy your days are.


Kala’s Simply Awaken Yoga

When you awake in the morning, rise and stand by the side of your bed.
It’s time to reconnect your mind, body and spirit into the present new day.
Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for two counts
and then exhale loudly through your mouth.
Do this three times.
Focus on how your body feels as you breathe in and out.

Clear your mind from any troubling thoughts, relax, smile.
Gently shake your body, your arms and legs and move side to side, smile.
Gently stretch, be aware of your thoughts as you stretch,
let go of any thoughts that no longer serve you.
Breathe in deep and exhale loudly through your mouth, smile.

Open your arms out to the side and say, I am filled with the Pure White Light.
Only Good Comes to Me, Only Good Comes From Me.
I Give Thanks for this Day. Smile.
Cross your arms across your chest to save this positive energy around you, smile.
Now go out and greet the day.
