I’m back home from my visit to Baltimore and the Maryland/DC area. Fortune smiled upon me for this trip, as I was able to scoot into the area for the weekend in-between two different winter storms and enjoy some beautiful Spring weather. I’ve been to DC several times and though I’ve driven through the state of Maryland (I-95N) many times on my way to New York, I’ve never spent any time in Maryland before this trip.
I have to say that I love Maryland and her people, everyone we met was so nice! I mean really nice, go out of their way to be nice, kind of people. There were three different occasions where people stopped in traffic to allow me to make a left turn, which was very sweet. Everyone we met in the area, at the hotel, the conference, the bookstore, downtown Baltimore and in restaurants were warm, friendly and so fun and engaging. Maryland is a beautiful place, made even more so by her people.
So what was I doing in Maryland you ask? I was invited to teach at the Sacred Space Conference this year, that was held just on the other side of DC in Laurel, Maryland.
The annual conference presents esoteric teachings to intermediate and advanced practitioners in a variety of workshops and rituals. This year had a wonderful group of teachers presenting their work over a period of four days including ritual aspects such as the Conjure Dance of New Orleans.
My workshop was based on ancient esoteric wisdom exploring how to Awaken the Divine Feminine within each of us and how to connect to this energy through the auric fields. I had a wonderful time teaching at the event and sharing how the High Priestesses from the ancient temples activated this energy.
During my time in the area, I also visited Baltimore, where I saw Camden Yard where the Orioles play, the University of Maryland and the vibrant downtown area. I was in Baltimore to teach a workshop about the Awakened Aura at the delightful Breathe Books store.
I taught at Breathe Books in the evening under a beautiful moonlit night and even approaching the store, you feel the magic and energy drawing you in. The store is full of books, with a sweet cafe and has a separate building in the back where workshops are held. It was a delightful way to spend the evening teaching people how to see and connect with the aura along with doing aura readings for the group in attendance.
Such a nice way to start out Spring this year and the weather gods were kind, shining upon us and I was able to return safely home before the new storm blew back in, all in Divine Timing. 🙂
Baltimore by the way, is known for its seafood, especially their delicious crab, in all forms.
Much like in the movie Forest Gump, where they speak of shrimp in all the ways it can be prepared, fried shrimp, stuffed shrimp, shrimp scampi… Baltimore explores crab in every design you can imagine.
Even the pizza place offers crab pizza, crab cakes and seafood platters with your pizza. 🙂
Maryland, thanks for showing me such a good time!
Much love to you!
