With such a long, cold and body, mind and spirit exhausting Winter soon to be behind us here in the U.S., it’s time to turn our attention to the Spring Equinox and the soon to follow Spring energy! The ancient wisdom teachings taught the axiom, As Above, So Below, explaining that what was in the Higher Planes of Macrocosm Existence Above, was reflected down below at the Microcosm Level on the Earth. This is reflected in Nature with the Elementals and from the Soul of each person. The second part of this axiom is As Within, So Without, portraying that the thoughts and energy coming from within each of us courses through the chakras and then radiates outward through the aura and energy bodies.
At this time of year, our bodies in all of their energetic forms may be feeling a bit sluggish after the cold dark days and long nights. This is the time of year when people instinctively feel the need for a cleansing and begin to change their diet from the heavier foods that the body craves during the Winter, to lighter fare and more greens, in order to detox and lighten the body. This is also felt intuitively on the auric level, as the organs connected with the chakras are ready to lighten up and shift from the introspective, quiet “winter hibernation” phase into their flirtatious “spring fling”.
One of the easiest ways to help boost your chakra energy is to raise their vibration through sound. The physical body as well as the aura reacts to sound, as we know through listening to music and the effect it has on us emotionally, lifting our mood with a minute, as it releases negative thoughts from our mental field and provides a boost to our spiritual well-being. Sound in its various forms was understood in the ancient wisdom temples and used through playing bells, gongs, bowls and other instruments to heal, soothe and to awaken our spirit and move us into new conscious states. Sound, used in the right tone, can also clear and remove negative energy from any space. The power of sound has been forgotten for a long time, but these old teachings are coming back into the global consciousness at this time and soon you will see sound therapy used in a myriad of ways to help people.
In the Spring, the element and elementals we connect with, move through the Air. The winds come through clearing the lands and at that same time, clearing our auric bodies. They remove the stillness of Winter and the element of Air purifies and transforms. The Elemental attached to this season are the Fairies. While fairies are with us in various forms throughout the year, after all, let’s give the Sugar Plum Fairy of Winter her due, the easiest time to connect with the Fairies or Fae Folk is between the months of March at Spring Equinox, through June during the Summer Solstice.
There are specific rites and rituals which can be used to interact with the fairies during Equinox’s and Solstice’s and I teach about these in my Wise Woman Wisdom Course at my Academy of Mystical Arts, for those souls who long for a deeper connection with the ancient wisdom teachings. One of the tips I share is using the power of sound to call forth the power of Air, which can be used to stimulate the chakras, awaken the aura and if desired, invite the fairy kingdom to gather in your sacred garden. An easy way to work with sound is with a wind chime, which is attuned to specific notes and the sound is made directly from the Spirit of Air. Hang a wind chime in your garden in an inviting space where fairies would enjoy spending time. If you’d like to plant flowers to attract them to your space, plant similar flowers that are used in a butterfly garden, which are their favorites.
The sound and movement of the wind chime connecting with the element of Air is a siren call to the Fae. Not all wind chimes are made alike however. After years of researching sound and how it interacts with the aura, I’ve found that certain bells, bowls and wind chimes work better than others. The wind chimes that I recommend to my students are the ones made by a company called WoodStock, which are the highest quality and calibration that I’ve experienced. Their sound is clear and strong and attuned to the notes which enhance all living beings. I’ve personally used their chimes for years and recommend them highly. While they have choices of hundreds of various chimes, the one I recommend to activate and awaken your aura and chakras and to invite the energy of the Fae, is their Woodstock Signature Collection 17-1/2-Inch Chakra Chime, Seven Stones. I use this chime in my work and with my students at the Academy and adore that it contains seven sacred gemstones that release their energy when the chime is moved through the Air. Activating the sound energy of this chime with the gemstones stirs the energy bodies from within at the chakra level to without at the aura level. If you are looking for a quick pick me up rejuvenation and a transformation this Spring with the added bonus of attracting the Fae kingdom into your sacred space, consider bringing this chime into your garden or on your patio. I’ve also recommended it to be used inside homes and offices to clear energy after stressful work days and long meetings.
Here’s the description from WoodStock Chimes about their Seven Stones Chakra Wind Chime. If you do try this chime, I’d love to hear from you and what you experienced with it while using it in your home, office and garden. May the blessings of Spring be upon you and the Fae Folk greet you with delight!
Product Description: The seven stones in this chime are aligned in an ascending column, just as the seven chakras are aligned along the spine in the human body. Woodstock Chakra Chimes combine color and sound to underscore the ancient meaning of the major energy centers of the human body. Eastern Philosophy can often be difficult for the Western scientific mind to assimilate and yet, many of the eastern claims are being proven scientifically as the time-honored truths that they are. According to the traditions, there are seven basic chakras, which correlate to the seven main nerve ganglia emanating from the spinal column, as revealed through modern studies of physiology. Each Chakra location has a unique meaning, orientation and healing potential. Woodstock Chakra Chimes are intended to remind us of the strength of mind over matter and, through sound, give us a small window into the balance of the physical and metaphysical.
