After receiving a degree in chemical engineering at Texas A&M University, he took a lucrative and highly successful job in Sydney. A keen surfer, Sergio left his position as the General Manager of a UK based company at the young age 34 years old to pursue his dreams and find the true purpose of his life. His love of the ocean inspired his first novel “THE DOLPHIN—STORY OF A DREAMER” which is being released in the US in September 2008 by Hay House. Aloha Life with Alika Medeiros

From the beautiful energy of Hawaii, Kala speaks with Alika about Aloha Life. Aloha translates from Hawaiian into English into many, many things — all of them good. Anyone who has visited the islands of Hawai’i knows that the moment you arrive, the Spirt of Aloha fills your soul. To live an Aloha Life is to use the power of Aloha to elevate, empower, and ennoble yourself in your life and the lives of those around you. According to Alika, “To live an Aloha Life was a method that was TRUTH for my ancestors and was integral to their daily lives. This way of life has been passed down through the generations. When I was younger, I was on a path of a destruction — lashing out at a world that I had perceived as being against me. My tutu (grandmother) began instructing me on how to live an Aloha Life and more importantly, how to use the key to prosperity, peace and harmony that is Aloha for the betterment of the lives of others.” Enjoy this interview with Kala as she speaks about one of her favorite places on Earth, Hawaii as she shares the beautiful Aloha spirit with Alika!

More About Alika:
Alika was born Alika Medeiros in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. The child of a Portuguese father and a native Hawai’ian mother, his father abandoned his family when he was a child and he was raised with the influence of his mother and his mother’s family. When he was younger, Alika acted out and got into all the sorts of trouble a young man can. His actions were spurred by a resentment toward his father and all of the other hardships he had faced as a youngster. While a teen, Alika was in a horrible surfing accident that shattered his ankle and left him unable to walk. Faced with the prospect of never being able to walk again, he fell into a deep depression. His grandmother began practicing the ancient Hawai’ian Lomi (massage) on him while explaining to him the wonders of Huna, a traditional Hawai’ian spirituality. Within months, Alika had completely healed. It was during one of these sessions with his grandmother that Alika fell into a trance-like state and experienced a moment of total clarity. He knew at this moment that by creating what he calls an “Aloha Life” he could help others to release the “Kahuna” within. What began as a young man’s idealism to change the world has turned into Alika’s lifetime crusade. Through his “Aloha Life” workshops, healing touch seminars and his own Kilo Lani yoga techniques, he has helped people worldwide to transform the quality of their lives and the lives of those around them.

Rev. Ruby Morrow

More about Reverend Ruby Morrow:
Reverend Ruby was born in Georgia and raised as a Baptist in her younger years. She then found the Unity School of Christianity, and later discovered Astara in July of 1977. She became a regular at Sunday Services and soon was giving meditations at the Sunday service. She completed all eight degrees of Astara, called “The Book of Life” and continues to re-read and study them on a regular basis. She taught Astara’s degree lessons for six and one-half years. In 1990, she became an ordained minister and has served as the Secretary-Treasurer on Astara’s Board of Directors since 1989. When Dr. Robert Chaney retired, Reverend Ruby became Astara’s Primary Minister. She speaks once a month at Astara and handles the Sunday Insight Services. Reverend Ruby gives workshops and seminars around the U.S.A. and has been a Tour Teacher for Astara traveling to many countries, including Egypt, Greece, Italy, Scandinavia, Russia, Peru, China, Great Britain, and France.
