In the wisdom teachings of the Divine Feminine, there are certain earth cycles, which open a gateway between the higher planes of existence and the earth plane. These moments of enhanced connection allow us to view the rhythm and timing of the goddess in her form as mother nature. As the traditions of the Goddess and Divine Feminine resurge in the light again, it’s time to celebrate. The powerful life-affirming magic of Spring is around the corner. Should you wish to change something in your life, this is the moment to set that intention and ask for your dream to bloom, grow and rejuvenate.

We are experiencing one of these magical moments this week, marked as the mid-way point of the season of Winter around February 2nd. This celebration is most popularly known by the Celtic reference of Imbolc. Imbolc, a gaelic word, means in-milk, derived from the gaelic pronunciation ‘oimelc’, meaning ewe’s milk.

While Imbolc is the most well known celebration of this holiday, its origins stem from a powerful universal wisdom teaching known as – ‘As Within, So Without’.

During the barren frozen winter days of early February in western Europe, the celebration of Imbolc was a symbol of hope and represented the good things to come. When surveying the landscape (without), everything appeared bleak, and lifeless yet (within) the dairy animals, hints of Spring were returning as the animals began to lactate and milk began to flow again.

There is a Goddess assigned to this quickening and universally she symbolizes the seeds of life planted (within) the earth and within each person and how when nurtured and cared for, they blossom (without) producing the life affirming milk and awakening of life and hope.

In the Celtic celebration, the Goddess is known as Brigid, also spelled as Brighid. Brigid is revered as the Goddess of healing, writing and prosperity. As a solar goddess, she represents the fire and light that burns within each living being and how when cared for, this eternal light creates inner healing, restores vital energy and stirs life within. She is also represented in the phases of the Goddess as the maiden and the bride. Wise women around the world work with this goddess energy, helping others to launch new projects and beginnings, to stimulate powerful healing energies within the body and perform weddings, as this is the most advantageous day of the year to be married.

Brigid is referred to as the bride, which in modern times is recognized in the form of a young woman being joined in matrimony. This is but one derivative of the wisdom teaching and rituals. The Goddess Brigid is recognized as one of the Queens of Heaven who is being transmuted during this time and reborn. The Wise Woman of Winter, who has journeyed deep within herself during the darkest days of winter, is now ready to emerge and be reborn as the Young Maiden. This maiden carries the hope and promise of new life along with the wisdom and discernment of the wise women, giving herself the gift of intuition, healing, abundance and love. She is a bride of the light, participating in her own unification of this energy in a marriage ceremony of the heart and mind.

Here are Seven Sacred Ways to Connect with the Energy of Imbolc and the Goddess:

1. On February 1st through Feb 2nd, light candles and lamps in the home to welcome the return of the Light. Yellow, white and orange candles are the best colors to use. As you light each candle, focus your energy with the flame and ask that the light burn clear and bright, bringing clarity to the home, burning off any residual gloom or negative energy within the home.
   
2. White flowers symbolize the purity within and the promise of blooming to come. Place a beautiful bouquet in the heart area of your home and breathe deeply into the flowers, allowing their essence and fragrance to be experienced by all of your senses.
   
3. Reminiscent of the milk flowing, sharing dairy products is abundant, the most popular choice being milk chocolate. Hot chocolate warms the body and when stirring the chocolate, imbibe the mix with loving thoughts and warmth.
   
4. Place a silk ribbon or piece of fabric on a window sill, often referred to as Brighid’s Mantle. It is said overnight, it will be blessed with the healing, intuitive and abundant energy flowing at this time. Use this fabric to wrap your deck of tarot cards, to wrap herbs in or create a special pouch to hold treasured items.
   
5. Leave an offering outdoors of bread for birds and other small creatures who may be having a difficult time finding sustenance in the barren landscape. While outdoors in the cold, give thanks to the beauty surrounding you. Stand with your feet firmly grounded to the earth and raise your arms in the air, bring the light from above around you and allow it to flow deep within you.
   
6. Gather the seeds that you will be planting in your Spring garden. Hold your hands over the seeds and ask for the energy of the Goddess within to bless the seeds and nurture them. Take a small quartz crystal and charge this crystal with the same intention. When planting these seeds in the spring, plant the quartz crystal into the earth next to the seeds.
   
7. Reflect on the seeds of thought you planted in the Fall within yourself and the goals you are affirming in this new year. Ask for the quickening of the seeds within you, that they may blossom and grow. Take a quartz crystal and charge this crystal with the same intention. Keep this crystal on your desk or in a spot where it will remind you of your goals and intentions.

The Goddess in her many forms, teaches by example through nature. Use this time wisely, as it creates a sacred opportunity to plant new seeds of thought in the mind and heart. In the circle of life, there are adversities (within and without), representing a time of darkness and Winter, which are always overcome through the journey. The return to the light in the Spring, offers the opportunity to be reborn and move forward on the path, having learned from the time of adversity. Offerings of gratitude are given at this time to one’s adversaries, as they represent lessons and growth opportunities in disguise.

From my experiences in reading auras, I’ve found that the auric body typically maintains a basic form, which resembles an egg like oval shape around the body. Emanating from this body is a beautiful white light along with a wide variety of colors, shapes and at times, swirls and patterns. While it is fairly easy to learn to see an aura, understanding what the colors and images surrounding the aura represent, requires intuition, practice and an understanding of the spiritual planes and fields around the body.

Each individual creates a distinctive pattern in their auric field comprised of the individual’s thoughts, emotions, energetic manifestations and thought forms. The aura has an electromagnetic frequency, which is sensed by others and radiates at different levels. When people resonate at a similar auric frequency level, they naturally feel more comfortable around each other and find it easier to connect on the physical, emotional and mental levels. On the flip side, people whose auric vibrations differ greatly in frequency, tend to experience more conflict with each other and find it more difficult to communicate. In some ways, because they are coming from such different energetic standpoints, it’s almost as if they are speaking two different languages.  In short, birds of a feather flock together and while opposites attract, the opposing energy fields can create conflict and difficulty with communication.

As human beings, we are essentially made of light and energy.  As we come into contact with another person, our auras engage and intermingle with each other. This can lead to many positive experiences, which stimulate and enhance the aura. It can also generate negative experiences, which can draw too much energy away from the auric field and leave the person feeling depleted. With a greater understanding of how the aura functions, it’s easier to recharge the aura to keep it running at an optimum level.

There are seven main layers to the aura, which are also referred to as bodies or fields.  There are many people who can see the auric fields.  For some intuitive’s, they see them with their physical eye. Others see the fields through their third eye and some only sense the auric fields. A small number of people are able to see all seven auric fields, while the majority of people see one or two fields only.  Some psychics are more attuned to see physical dis-ease before it enters the physical body, while others see the energy in motion around the person, which reflects their general wellbeing.

They may also see emotional distress in the auric field, or glimpses of the akashic records being worked through in this lifetime. The akashic records are an ancient Sanskrit term, which refer to a database of records, a library of sorts, which records all actions in the universe. While each person is here on the earth plane in a physical body, part of their essence and soul remains in the higher planes. A  meta-physical energetic cord connects from the higher planes down to the earth plane and attaches to the soul of each person as it resides inside the physical body. These cords move energy back and forth from the physical plane to the higher planes. Also contained in these fields of energy are the records of each thought, word, action and deed that we generate while in the physical body. These records are transported back to the akashic library where they are stored and when we pass on from the earth plane and return to the spiritual realms, we visit the hall of akashic records to review our lifetime. From this review, we can see if we generated karma and what we created from our actions.

In my work as a wisdom teacher, I teach students how to see and read auras. We discuss the types of auras, their condition and how to heal an aura that has become damaged due to shock, stress or other harmful situations. In this line of work, I continue to experience new revelations when giving aura readings for people.

What has been most astounding and exciting in my work is that in the past ten years, I’ve seen new structures forming around the auras, which I have never seen before in the auric fields.

My theory on this new design in the auric field is that we are in a quickening. We are evolving on an energetic level and our auric bodies are being recreated right before our very eyes.  What I see happening in many fields now is that the energy bodies around us are being reconstructed and are opening up to allow more light and energy to flow through our bodies now, more than ever before.  In addition, the grid around the auric body is expanding and the structures are more crystalline in appearance.   As we draw near to the astrological age of Aquarius, which is symbolized by the water bearer in the heavens, pouring the wisdom of the gods back down to earth, I am struck by the correlation in what I see manifesting in our auric bodies. I believe the energy fields around our body are being prepared to receive higher and stronger vibrations of energy. The effects will allow for more energy to come into our physical bodies, allowing us to live longer and with greater vitality. It will also allow for greater mental capacity as well as increasing psychic ability.

In the past four years, I have seen these alterations gain even greater momentum. The structures surrounding the auric field and energy bodies appear different in people according to their age and physical, emotional, mental and spiritual state of wellbeing.  What I have seen forming in all stages of life is overwhelmingly positive and awe inspiring. So much so that I felt compelled to write a book to share with others what I am seeing in the auric fields and explain how these changes are leading the evolution of our light bodies. Odyssey of the Gods by Erich von Daniken

Erich von Daniken, best selling author of over thirty one books including Chariots of the Gods, changed the way generations have looked at mythology, ancient history, and the possibility of advanced beings from other worlds visiting Earth. Now he tackles the history of Greece and again challenges current beliefs about how our civilization arose. His new book is causing waves of discourse and discussion across archeological and historic fields. Titled Odyssey of the Gods: The History of Extraterrestrial Contact in Ancient Greece, von Daniken suggests that Greek myths are real accounts and that the Greek gods were aliens, extraterrestrial beings who arrived on Earth thousands of years ago.

Von Daniken’s research includes the writings of Plato and Aristotle and includes:

• Interpretations of the sites and legends of ancient Greece
• Accounts of the conflicts between these alien gods and humans
• The origins of Centaurs, Cyclops and other mythical creatues
• New explanations on the theory of Atlantis

While many may initially scoff at these reports, the reader only has to remember that up until recently, these same historians believed the story of Troy and Helen to be a mythological legend only to recently discover that it had been factual all along. For myself, as a wisdom teacher from the ancient mystery schools of Egypt and Greece, I found his information to be riveting and one of the best accounts of this incredible age in history.

Along with being a best selling author and researcher, Von Daniken is the chairman of the Archaeology, Astronautics and SETI Research Association. His works have been translated into 28 languages and have sold more than 63 million copies. Several have also been made into films. The Werewolf Book by Brad Steiger

It’s not enough for me that Brad Steiger has delighted, entertained and kept me up many nights with his tales of the sinister, the haunted and the macabre. I just can’t stop, I’m back for more.  Brad has been my guest on Explore Your Spirit Radio many times since the show began in 2006.  We’ve discussed Real Vampires, Revelations, Real Aliens, Shadow World and Strange Guests and I hope to have Brad on the show for many more discussions about the supernatural. After all, he’s written over 170 books and the man eats, breathes and has ventured into the paranormal world throughout most of his life.  His latest book, The Werewolf Book: The Encyclopedia of Shape-Shifting Beings is out and available now to serve as your guide to what is wandering out there under the full moon.

I’ve always loved wolves and thought that their stories, like many other mythologies were skewed by the fears of people at the time. Wolves are loyal to their pack, mate for life and there are too many reports and legends of shamans shape-shifting into wolves to ignore the possibility, so this little red riding hood has traveled the forests many times in search of the not so big bad wolf. Of course, this wise woman wouldn’t go looking for tigers by hanging meat around her arm and calling “Here Kitty, Kitty”, so nor do I venture unsafely through the woods without proper protection.  What I have ventured into with my work is to debunk some myths and explain and teach about the ancient ways and traditions. The poor wolf has been so maligned through the ages that like many other noble creatures including witches, they have been given a bad name by bullies from the past. The time has come to stop the bullying and condemnation and enter into the light of education and understanding.

The history of werewolves has always been slanted to the sinister, but new fictional tales seem to be releasing updated ideas about werewolves, including Charlaine Harris’s werewolf character in her series, The Adventures of Sookie Stackhouse and the HBO adaption of True Blood. If you’ve read the books or watched the series, the character of Alcide certainly warms your blood towards werewolves and shape-shifting Sam Merlotte is the friend that everyone wishes they had.

In his Werewolf book Steiger shares the legends of werewolves and how they have been portrayed in movies and television. He also chronicles the legends, the mythologies and the shamanistic tales of the werewolf as reported through thousands of years. The book is the go-to guide to understanding not just the evolution of the werewolf, but the evolution of the fears and consciousness level of humanity.

Are the Men in Black real? If so, are they aliens, fairies or something entirely different? Researchers for the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) have investigated an underwater site with what appears to be the remains of a collapsed multi-room building. Locals first found the structure and notified A.R.E. team members who made several expeditions to the location. The building foundation has manmade mitered limestone corners and other debris inside the outer walls. A sample of beach rock from a long, straight foundation wall was carbon dated to between 21,520 BCE and 20,610 BCE. These dates are astonishing, because prior to this discovery most researchers considered the oldest dates for humans in this area to be 1000 BCE.

A spokesman for the team said that their organization has been searching this region since the late 1960s and they have found many unusual underwater formations that appear to be manmade, but this is the first site to actually be carbon dated to a time long before the last Ice Age ended, indicating that a highly developed culture once lived off the coast of the Bahamas and operated throughout the region.

Edgar Cayce founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931. The A.R.E. teams conduct annual expeditions in the region off the Bahamas coast searching for remnants of a sophisticated pre-Ice Age culture. This Summer I visited the Northeast on my Gypsy Wagon Road Trip. Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared my adventures at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY and my journey in NYC and filming at the Learning Annex. Here’s the last leg of this adventure…

After leaving Manhattan, I headed through Western New York over to the Village of LilyDale, which is near Niagara Falls. My good friend Elizabeth Harper and I were scheduled to teach about Auras, Chakras and Energy Bodies here at LilyDale and we were excited to be part of LilyDale’s Summer Teaching Program.

Established in 1879, Lily Dale has been the world’s largest center for the practice of the Spiritualist religion. For 132 years, Lily Dale has offered a summer program of lectures, workshops and other activities featuring best-selling authors, leaders in academic and scientific research into psychic phenomena, as well as the world’s most powerful mediums, teachers and healers.

Located in upstate New York, this serene 19th century lakeside community is very charming, surrounded by a towering, old-growth forest and filled with cottages throughout the village.

I enjoyed teaching at LilyDale and we had a wonderful group of people there at the event. As Elizabeth and I were setting up for our workshop, we both commented on how we could feel the spirits in the area present and how they were “waiting”, ready to speak to any medium who wished to communicate with them. I acknowledged their presence but explained that I was here to speak to the workshop participants about their personal auras and not to engage in mediumship at this event.

About 30 minutes into the workshop, I noticed a man in spirit form appear in front of me while I was speaking to the group. As Elizabeth began to speak and share the next segment of information about our workshop, the man continued to stand in front of me, giving me a stern look with his arms folded in front of him. I realized that he wasn’t going to go away until I acknowledged him, so I looked up at him and met his gaze. Once he had my attention, he said, “State your business here” and I understood that he was a guardian of some capacity here at LilyDale. His clothes and hairstyle reflected a time around the 1930′s I would say and the feeling that I had is that he has been here a long time and is involved in the communications between the spirits and the mediums in many events at LilyDale.

After communicating with him at that moment, he disappeared and I went back to teaching the workshop. Once the event was over, we were packing up the Gypsy Wagon to head over to Pittsburgh to teach there the next day.

As I sat in the driver’s seat of the car, preparing to leave LilyDale that evening, a light rain began to fall. Looking up, I noticed a man standing outside my car window. Thinking it was the wonderful gentleman who had helped with all of the arrangements that evening, I lowered my window to thank him again for all that he had done. As I lowered my window, I saw it was not this man, but rather the man in spirit again, who wanted me to know that he was still here and watching over everything in the Village. He was still as stern as ever and took his job very seriously.

I have no doubt that should I return to LilyDale for another event, that he will be there to speak with me again.

During my road trip, I made my first visit to Pittsburgh, PA where I taught about the Seven Healing Techniques used in the Ancient Mystery Schools. I met the most beautiful souls in Pittsburgh, and we had a wonderful time together as we explored the ancient wisdom teachings and worked with a variety of energy healing tools and techniques including spending time in my copper pyramid.

I stayed in downtown Pittsburgh on the river and we were there on July 4th. This gave us a fantastic view of the fireworks display over the river. I really enjoyed seeing the beautiful architecture in Pittsburgh, so much detail was put into every building. It made me ache to see this again in our construction, why don’t we make beautiful architectural buildings like these today?
