The Solar Eclipse of July 22, 2009

T_Raphael_SimonsThe solar eclipse at 29 degrees fifty six minutes Cancer was at 2:34 AM Greenwich Mean Time on July 22nd, or 10:34 PM Eastern Daylight Time on July 21st. The first thing to say is that a solar eclipse may have either a positive or negative affect in one’s personal life depending on how the eclipse aspects one’s natal planets. If, for example, you have planets at 29 degrees Cancer, Libra, Capricorn or Aries you will be challenged by the eclipse. If you have planets at 29 degrees Virgo or Pisces the eclipse will favor you. If you have planets at 00 degrees Gemini or Sagittarius the eclipse will affect a turning point of sorts in your affairs. To get a complete picture of what the eclipse means for you personally, you will either have to read your own chart or have an astrologer do that for you. Please note: this report is about probabilities in world events as shown by the eclipse.

To find out what the eclipse means for the world, I made charts for London, Paris, Bruxelles, Berlin, Moscow; Jerusalem, Beirut, Amman, Damascus; Teheran, Delhi, Jakarta; Beijing, Anbyon North Korea, Tokyo, Wellington NZ; and Washington DC. I also looked at relevant Johndro locality charts, and at the national charts of Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Zaire for added detail.

A major solar eclipse such as this one signals an ending and new beginning in the world, however difficult. The eclipse is at 29 degrees Cancer. Twenty-nine degrees means a weeping matter is coming to the world with this eclipse. The affects of a solar eclipse last for at least one year.

The charts for London, Paris and Bruxelles have the eclipse in the 2nd house, showing the troubled finances of western Europe and the EU and pointing to coming burdensome taxation, heavy expenditures and losses of revenue, wasted public money, and unstable conditions in the money market and in the stock markets. Financial conditions in the EU will fluctuate with some deep losses. The chart for Berlin shows the eclipse in the 1st house and points to serious discontentment and unrest amongst the general public in Germany and all of central Europe. There may come some surprising changes in the government of Germany because of this. The charts for Jerusalem, Beirut, Damascus and Ammon also have the eclipse in the 1st house showing general discontentment among the people. This tells us that Middle East will become more restless and unstable in the coming months. If we look at the band that runs approximately between 10 degrees East longitude and 36 degrees East longitude, or the area running roughly between Germany and Syria, and extend it down to south latitudes into the continent of Africa, we will find the same unsettling indications showing up in much of Central, East and South Africa. Of special interest are Libya, Chad, Sudan, Ethopia, Zaire, Uganda, and south all the way to South Africa. This whole region of the world is in considerable ferment. Of note, the national chart of Zaire has Mercury at 29 degrees Cancer in the 4th house, and ruling the 6th house. It is possible that the eclipse will trigger an epidemic in Zaire.

The charts for Moscow and Teheran put the eclipse in the 12th house, indicating serious behind the scenes trouble involving prisons, possibly relating to victims of political intreague. The chart for India puts the eclipse in the 11th house indicating changes in the Cabinet, troubles and difficulties in Parliament, dissentions and disagreements among members, also sickness, indisposition or death of a member of the government. Saturn in the India chart is in the 1st house showing the country taking a serious outlook. Venus in the India chart is in the 10th house exactly square Saturn and square Uranus confirming the possibility of sickness or death of a member of the government, possibly a lady, and/or the unpopularity of someone in the highest of the government circles.

The eclipse as affects Afghanistan and Pakistan shows the problems in Afghanistan related to opium growers funding terrorists who secretly cross over into Pakistani territory. It will be extremely difficult to control this sort of activity.

The charts for China, Japan and Korea have the eclipse at the zenith. We can expect some dramatic events to occur in East Asia involving these countries. Such an eclipse as this in the 10th house is a sign of the defeat of the government and/or heads of major corporations of pivotal importance to these nations. East Asia is heading for major changes now.

The solar eclipse may also play a role in earthquakes and volcanic activity. Areas that deserve watching include China and Japan. The Johndro locality chart confirms the possibility of earthquake activity in far eastern Asia. The Johndro chart draws a line north-south from Kamchatka Pennisula and the Kuril Islands just northeast of Japan down to Papua New Guinea. This may trigger activity in the whole region of the islands that surround the eastern, southeastern and southern sides of Asia. The Johndro charts also point to the central Atlantic, or 30 degrees west longitude, that could indicate volcanic activity increasing at the bottom of the ocean there. The eclipse appears at the zenith over the middle of the Atlantic in the Johndro chart. This would also make it a risk, at times, to cross the Atlantic by air or water. There might be a big storm coming across the ocean after the eclipse as well.

The chart for Wellington, NZ shows nothing noteworthy. This means that the range of earthquake activity indicated by the eclipse is limited to the area around East Asia. If it happens in the sea there would be tidal wave activity. The sign Cancer suggests that possibility.

Finally, the eclipse chart in the US puts the eclipse in the 5th house. This suggests that we may hear of some more deaths in the entertainment field. The chart also points to plenty of wrangling to come in the House of Representatives.

Affects of the eclipse may happen immediately or as repercussions when planets come to aspect the eclipse degree. The first repercussions may occur when the Moon comes to square the eclipse degree on July 27th, and opposition the eclipse degree on August 4th. The Moon traveling around the heavens once a month may touch off the eclipse degree several times over the course of the year following the eclipse. Venus comes to conjunction the eclipse degree on August 25th and 26th. Mars comes to conjunction the eclipse degree on October 15th and 16th. The Sun squares the eclipse degree on October 22nd. Then the Sun comes to opposition the eclipse degree on January 19th. It is said the effects of a solar eclipse can last three years. My experience tells me that the effects last one year and then fade out.

Growth and Power in Relationships

John_EnglishIt appears that soon seven billion people will be on planet earth. Isn’t that amazing! One aspect all of these people have in common regardless of nationality, religion, geographical location or gender, is relationship. Almost everyone has relationships with other people and everyone has a relationship with life, the earth and themselves. There must be something more to this than just keeping ourselves company as we spend our time here.

I have spent the better part of the last twenty years exploring our potential as human beings. As a shaman I have investigated the mysteries of intention, perception, being, the Divine and healing, all with the intention of becoming more empowered on the physical plane so that I may fulfill the potential of my higher self. With all of the exploring I have done I have found no area in life that brings me more power and purpose than relationship. This realization about personal growth has come to me through experience, and it always fills me with a great amount of hope and gratitude.

One reason relationships are so powerful is they prompt us to go outside of ourselves to learn more about our true nature. When we reach out to another human being, to discuss consciously what is going on with us, we release the energy of our current challenge. This allows us to see our challenge in a new light with the help of another. We realize that this challenge is in our lives so we can grow from it and become empowered. Then we are available to assist others with similar challenges. I have found that releasing the energy surrounding a situation, by speaking to another human being about it, is essential for being able to change our perception. Once we change our perception anything is possible. The only requirement to be available for this shift is to let go completely of the need to be right.

Another way relationships provide so much growth is through the power of mirrors. Every person in our lives is a mirror in which we can see ourselves. The way this works is that people mirror back to you everything that is within you. This includes your divinity and your character defects. The way we identify if someone is mirroring to us, instead of just being who they are, or who they think they are in this world, is if the behavior in question has an emotional charge. When we set our intention to pay attention to how we feel in our relationships, and read the mirrors without blaming anyone, including ourselves, a phenomenal amount of power comes to us. We are able to identify the small things about ourselves so we can move into the strength and purpose of our higher selves.

Most of the different spiritual traditions detail how the One Spirit many refer to as God fashioned its creation out of love so that it might get to know its Self through its creation. Whether we are conscious of it or not we all have a relationship with the Creator and its creation. Every creator has a relationship with its creation. You have a relationship with the creation of your life, which includes all of your relationships. The stories and myths about the beginning of creation tell us that the power of relationship tracks all the way back to the beginning. If you reach out to other people to overcome a challenge in your life and you remember that you are using the same power and intention for creation in the first place, that challenge will become a means for you to know your Self. Soon your entire life will change as well as your challenges. Your life will be a manifestation of beauty and the meaning, purpose and power you have always wanted it to be.

Personal or Global: the Same Choices

Luigi_MorelliWhat comes to light through the numerous spiritual experiences possible in our time – particularly the NDEs (http://www.iands.org/nde_index.php) – is a defining experience of the reality of our higher self and of that “love that surpasses all understanding.” The ordinary ego, ensnared, defined, and imprisoned in the dimension of the shadow, both aspires to and dreads, as an ultimate annihilation, the step of recognition of our deeper essence in the spirit. The higher self—some challenges us—is more foreign to us in our daily lives than any other human being on Earth.

To the ego, all other human beings stand as competitors that it tries to overcome or dim. This unspoken Darwinian struggle for the survival of the fittest, illusion though it may be, colors much of ordinary life, and the full recognition of our shadow is, as a rule, feared and avoided. Competition and fear are the grounds upon which the ego ordinarily operates, until it decides consciously to let the higher self educate it. The dramatic recognition of our higher self is accompanied by the realization of the divine love that supports us. People who have reached this stage, especially if consciously, can burn the “residues” of their lower ego in the light and love that emanates from the spirit.

We could say—although in a very schematic fashion—that the path of individuation spans the spectrum between fear and love. At one end the ego, wholly identified with its shadow, lives in a continuous state of fear. This fear is confronted in degrees on the path of encounter with our shadow, and fully overcome in the full experience of our higher self in the spirit. However, all of us can let ourselves be guided and inspired to take the path of personal growth and love even before we reach this goal as a personal experience.

The ego that needs to be overcome and transformed is the essential instrument that ties us to life on Earth, that gives us certainty and assurance while we are more or less cut off from the spirit. Therefore it is a stage that cannot be bypassed in order to reach a higher consciousness. More and more tools have emerged in the last century that allow us to chip away at the resistances of the ego, and to do so at larger and larger levels (http://www.humanspiritcircles.com/pages/experiential.html)

What Pre birth Experiences (http://www.amazon.com/Coming-Light-Sarah-Hinze/dp/0671001590), near Death Experiences, previous-life memories, and other threshold experiences are showing us is the working of destiny and karma. The factor of context is the link with the idea of human destiny that can lead to a new understanding of karma and repeated earthly lives. Those who have had positive experiences often puzzle over why they were “chosen.” The case of Dannion Brinkley (See Saved by the Light) (http://www.dannion.com/books.htm) is a good example. Why, as he says himself, did this experience befall an individual who had painted such a poor picture in his present life? Could it be that grace from previous lives rewarded him for what he had not yet accomplished in the present? Isn’t this the same grace that gives him the strength to atone for his shortcomings? For those who manage to come to terms with these experiences, given an understanding of the spiritual background, the path of integration is likely to be much easier and shorter.

Global culture works in tandem with the examples of personal spiritual experiences we have outlined. Individual consciousness mirrors global consciousness. The personal experience of spiritual abundance is preceded by a personal encounter with the shadow, the personal abyss, everything that wants to define a world of scarcity and fear and deny the existence of hope, compassion, and love. It is a stage that takes time, tolerance, and dedication to overcome, and that leads us to believe that there will be no light at the end of the tunnel. The encounter with the Light of love, or Christ, is the experience to which humanity can aspire in its future. In near-death-like experiences, more and more individuals emerge refreshed and newly motivated, knowing the reality of love and of an abundance that can fill all dimensions of our lives. But we do not need to experience it firsthand to embrace its message and walk in its footsteps. We all stand before this epoch-making choice in our lives.

Civilization is going through this worldwide set of choices—a culture of fear accompanied by scarcity of resources, mounting terrorism, and insecurity; or a gradual shift towards the embodiment of a sustainable economic development that supports personal growth, compassion, and all the highest human aspirations. (http://www.humanspiritcircles.com/pages/trisector.html) The choice lies between a culture of exclusion, antagonism, and competition and a new way of looking at “the other” as the indispensable complement that allows us to overcome isolation, separateness, and loss of meaning. Instead of the old dualism of good and evil, right or wrong, good or bad, we can make room for a new philosophy—one of reconciliation in which relative evil, or imbalance, is not fought and overcome, but rather understood, integrated, and transformed, whether at the personal or the collective level.

The Lunation Period of June/July: New Moon June 22, Full Moon Eclipse July 07

T_Raphael_SimonsThe New Moon on June 22 at Washington DC was in the 9th house exactly trine the Ascendent pointing to favorable developments in international relations, as seen in the summit meeting of the Presidents of the US and Russia. Supporting this development is a conjunction of Mars and Venus in the 7th house indicating a peaceful marriage of sorts. This fortunate development will continue to unfold beyond the lunation period; relations with Russia appear to be entering a more optimistic road now. The developments between the US and Russia are coming to full view at the Full Moon eclipse on July 7th with the eclipse Moon in the 7th House at Washington showing that relations with foreign powers are now improving while the eclipse trine Saturn in the 3rd house says that the improvements will continue to develope through talks over time.

Over and against the above indications, we have to look at the charts of Iran and Afghanistan. It was 30 years ago that the Islamic Republic of Iran was started. Iran is just recently past her Saturn Return. Saturn in the chart for Iran is in the 1st house, i.e., the-house-of-the-people. Repercussions of the Islamic Revolution are being felt now; there is popular unrest , and this will lead to economic worries for Iran. It is also noteworthy that Jupiter in the Iranian chart is at 29 degrees Cancer in the 12th house. There will be a major solar eclipse on July 22nd at 29 degrees Cancer. This eclipse will cause plenty of disturbances in Iran affecting public institutions such as hospitals, schools, and prisons over the coming months. It is possible that a lot of people will be going to jail. It appears in the Iranian chart that disruptive events will come up in 2014 – 2015, more serious than what is happening at present and that will be happening later on this year and into next. As for Afghanistan, it was 29 years ago that Russia invaded. Repercussions stemming from that invasion will be felt this and next year due to the Saturn return cycle as well. The United States and Russia are now forming closer ties; the link to Afghanistan  is significant. In the Afghanistan chart Mercury is at 29 degrees Cancer in the 4th house. The solar eclipse on July 22nd will also register in Afghanistan negatively affecting the land, landed interests, and cash crops. There will be a concerted effort of the US and Russia to destroy the opium business in Afghanistan that will meet with hostile reactions of the Afghan farmers connected to the Taliban and related terrorist organizations.

The coming eclipses, especially the solar eclipse of July 22nd are pointing to a big earthquake, very probably in Asia as the eclipse will be visible there, especially in China. The solar eclipse at  29 degrees Cancer suggests a possible tsunami coming sometime in the weeks or months following the eclipse. The effects of a strong solar eclipse such as this one last at least one year during which there are bound to be periodic repercussions.

To go back a bit, the New Moon chart of June 22nd shows that there were a number of news-worthy deaths of celebrities in the entertainment field as well as fatal air crashes. This pattern, especially of air crashes over water, deserves watching as it may continue through the summer.

The Lunar Eclipse of July 07 is at 15 degrees Capricorn. A lunar eclipse in the middle of the sign Capricorn is said to bring incursions, assaults of soldiers, robberies and captivities. Countries and regions under Capricorn include India, Pubjab, Afghanistan, Macedonia, Greece, Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Mexico and other places prone to violence at this time. The eclipse also suggests renewed pirate activity. The lunar eclipse also suggests that there will be an increase of US military activity. Uranus is in the 10th house in DC in the lunar eclipse chart. This means that there will be sudden and unexpected developments in Government circles which will require careful management. Nonetheless, it appears that the trouble, whatever it is, will be gotten around and averted.

God Outside the Box

Patricia_PanahiWhen I was eight, I lost my most precious possession, a rubber ball I had purchased with the first dollar I ever earned.  It was the size of a volleyball, pink and smooth and soft. I liked to bounce it on the sidewalk and show it to everyone I met. I’d tell them the story of how I’d helped my mom with housework and she’d given me a whole dollar and I’d used it to buy my very own ball.

A few weeks later, I was visiting Nana in New Jersey and we went to a military picnic and clam bake. Women in bright dresses and hats served potato salad and buttered corn on the cob at picnic tables.  A brawny man with a crew cut pulled clams out of a huge, steaming vat and opened the shells with a knife.  Nana showed me how to season them with lemon and dip them in butter and pop them in my mouth.  I liked the rubbery, ocean taste of the clams and went back for a second helping.

I met other kids by the lake and we played dodge ball with my pink ball late into the afternoon. Then, without warning, the sky darkened and a storm rolled in with gusty winds and rain.  We had to pack up and leave quickly, but I couldn’t find my prized ball. I cried out in anguish while the adults grabbed my arm and shoved me into the car.  This was my first experience of how the winds could rise and carry away something precious to me.

Back at Nana’s house, I just couldn’t believe that I had lost my most prized possession. “I’ll buy you another one,” Nana had said, but it would never be the same. That pink rubber ball meant more to me than a mere child’s toy.  It represented independence and self-reliance—the belief that I could make my own way.

With knots in my stomach and tears rolling down my cheeks, I bolted up to the bedroom and opened the drawer with my grandmother’s Bible, a book I knew she regarded as holy.  At that young age, I wasn’t quite sure what religion I was supposed to follow.  My mom had been raised a Catholic and my dad had been Moslem, but neither practiced nor taught me anything about the religious beliefs of their families.  Nevertheless, a part of me had always felt that a spiritual being I could neither see nor touch nor hear had created me and protected me.

I ran my fingers across the worn, brown leather Bible cover and asked for a sign.  Flipping it open, I pointed to a line on the page and read: In the Lord, put your trust. (Psalms 11:1)  Upon reading these words, a loving feeling washed over me, like I was being embraced by angel arms and reassured that everything would turn out okay.  Breathing a sigh of relief, I sprinted down the stairs to find my grandmother.  I informed her that my ball would be found, that the Bible said so.  Within the hour, a friend called and said her teenage daughter had found the ball and she would bring it to the house.  On that day, I learned to ask for help and to trust that it would be provided, but how or what or by whom was still a mystery.

In my youth and early twenties, I explored numerous religions, but nothing ever really stuck.  I always wanted to know what other groups thought or practiced or believed.  I couldn’t accept the idea that one group had the whole truth and everyone else was wrong, or confused, or infidels, or a cult, or going to burn in hell for all time. I wasn’t content with one book or one set of beliefs or practices.  To limit my thinking for religious purposes was like living in a cubicle and not being allowed to look over the wall and see what was going on outside.  I wanted to think for myself, to study, to analyze and to practice without inhibitions.  Why would God only accept the practices and prayers of one particular group and not others? An omniscient God couldn’t be that petty, could he—or she?

I finally concluded that I just didn’t know and floundered in a spiritual void for a time.  But when I was diagnosed with a serious illness and reunited with a childhood friend, I cracked and fell to pieces.  Deep, buried emotions erupted to the surface, shaking me to my core. Propelled to seek answers and find inner peace, I tumbled into a spiritual adventure that exploded my concepts of reality and opened me to a brave new world where souls talk, trees emit energy fields, rocks have life, and God is everywhere. *excerpt from the book, God Outside the Box

Raising Intuitive Children

Caron_GoodeWho Are They?

All children have the natural intelligence of intuition (II). Some children are highly skilled or gifted in this talent in the same way that others have a talent for math, music, languages or physical dexterity.

Since each of us has a preference in how we relate to the world, the book, Raising Intuitive Children, shows how children with an intuitive learning style and intuitive intelligence view and interact with people, tasks and the environment.

Children with intuitive intelligence have traits that manifest in different ways along a continuum of normal skills to gifted talents:

•    Children who learn through feelings and process information kinesthetically. (Intuitive learning mode)
•    Children who are creative and artistic and intuition drives their motivation. (Artistic drive for exploring and creating, entrepreneurial)
•    Children whose intuitive intelligence is like a radar reading other people and understanding them. (Empathy and interpersonal skills)
•    Children who have intuitive episodes like dreams or a flash of creative insight. (Deep insight, precognition)
•    Children who are psychic. (Awareness of non-physical worlds through all senses or a specific sense.)
Intuition is the common denominator of these talents, and all children have the same intuitive capacities. Like musical prodigies and math geniuses, children display their intuitive talents differently. Some educators call the intutive kids the right-brainers! (Better than no-brainers, I guess)

0_Whole_ChartII is the new kid on the block
Education, parenting and psychology professionals recognize that children have multiple intelligences, and intuitive intelligence is the new kid on the block. All intelligences exist on a continuum of normal to gifted. There are math prodigies, musical geniuses and intuitive psychics. The traits for intuitive intelligence cluster into several groups:

•    Creative and inspired artists,
•    Sensitive and empathic feelers, and
•    Talents involving inner psychic awareness,
•    Spiritual intuitives
Intuitive intelligence stands as an entity deserving recognition. Brain mapping using EEG topography found that creativity and intuition are associated with theta waves usually linked with daydreaming or fantasizing. Theta waves are calm states in which intellectual activity at the conscious level isn’t occurring. Children and adults with ADHD produce excessive theta waves.

Our logical mind addresses stable patterns, snapshots of reality stored in our memory banks, for the practical living. The holistic or holographic side of our reality, intuitive intelligence comes from within. By focusing our attention on how intuition presents, we act from deeper understanding.

Intuitive intelligence operates on gestalts or whole pieces of information and functions from our memory, not logic. Intuitive ability is finally recognized as the fuel behind innovation, creative thinking, inspiration, insight, and psychic experiences.

Intuition is an essential part of the human mind, which includes our conscious processes and unconscious processes—thought perception, emotion, will, memory, and imagination. Intuition involves nurturing self-awareness of the inner world, the outer world, and the connection in between

Connection is the key!
There is much we can do as parents to direct expressions of inventive and creative thoughts, help empaths deal with emotional overwhelm and establish resilience, face fears of ghosts. Children with intuitive intelligence, challenged by cultural systems which do not know how to connect with or teach them, need permission to follow their personal path and optimize their talent. We can give that permission and model it for them by developing our intuitive parenting. We also need to become intuitive parents.

Our truest parenting success is the feeling of resonance with our child, the connection of hearts, the meeting of minds—congruence.

Michael Jackson: a Chinese Astrological Portrait

T_Raphael_SimonsGiven the different proposed birth times, the one that looks most probable is around 10:53 am, falling squarely into the Chinese 6th time division. The date of Michael Jackson’s birth was August 29th, 1958. Born in the year of Earth Dog, month of Metal Monkey, day of Earth Tiger, and hour of Fire Snake, Jackson’s chart shows him to have been a hard worker and subject to harsh conditions. True to his chart, he was a musician with pronounced acting, correographic, and dancing talents. The distribution of elements in Jackson’s chart shows 5 Metals, 1 Water, 1 Wood, 4 Fires, and 6 Earths.  The weakest element in the chart is Wood, showing trouble in liver functioning and a tendency to confusion and anger. The chart has 13 Yang elements and 3 Yin elements. With an extreme over-balance of Yang, Jackson was prone to extreme tension. The greatest focus of elements in the chart is 6 Yang Earths. This shows that Jackson’s health was affected adversely by a tendency to severe anxiety, and an unquenchable need for love. The over-balanced Yang Earth adversely affected the spleen, stomach and pancreas function, with a tendency to diabetes, circulatory troubles, and a degenerative condition of the flesh and nose. The almost equally overbalanced Metal confirms the condition of Jackson’s nose and shows skin and intestinal problems. Jackson’s surgeries appear not to have been so much for beauty as they were for cosmetic reasons related to the complex health issues he suffered. Had he survived his heart attack, it is questionable that he would have been able to live much longer in his emotional condition.

The 13 Yang elements in the chart show Jackson as an initiator. He was good at starting projects and needed others to help finish them. Jackson appears to have been a creatively independent and competitive character while being friendly to a lot of people. He thrived in a friendly and competitive mileu.

Jackson’s 10-year luck cycles began at age four. His first luck cycle, running from age four to fourteen, shows Michael traveling and experiencing trouble in the family. Michael’s father abused him. Jackson’s chart shows his father not there to support and guide him, but as a brutal task master. This had a causal connection to Jackson’s tendency to squander money and to be frustrated in love. It appears that it was in his twenties that Jackson came into his own and his father went out of the picture; nonetheless, the harm done in the earlier years engendered the pattern of intense anxiety and neediness that were at the root of Jackson’s health problems. The cycle of age twenty-four to thirty-four shows Jackson riding high. His creativity was flourishing in those years. It is very probable that in those years Jackson had strong romantic interests as well. Possibilities of close relationships, including marriages, show in Jackson’s chart from age fourteen up to the most recent times. Jackson’s chart, nonetheless, shows lack of support from parents, distancing of siblings, and poor relations with children. You may see how all of this, coupled with his anxieties, contributed to his deteriorating health and early death. Had he lived on, and overcome his emotional condition, he would have found genuine love in the cycle of age sixty-four to seventy-four. Jackson’s chart , nonetheless, shows him to have been a loner; it was difficult for him to hold a relationship. The overbalanced element Metal in Jackson’s chart shows that he was prone to grief. Too much grief leads to heart ailments. The vital element in Jackson’s chart is Water. The vital in a person’s chart is that element that the person’s life depends on. Water, Jackson’s vital element, was relatively weak at the time of his birth. It became strong for him at age fourteen and was strongest between twenty-four and thirty-four. It was still strong between thirty-four and forty-four, but began to subside at forty-four. From his mid-forties to around fifty, Jackson’s health was in considerable danger. He had become very fragile. The astrological indications in 2007 show him in an emotionally upset period that weakened him so that he was unable to withstand  the oncoming tide of adverse conditions. 2010 would have been a very dangerous year for him had he survived.

Jackson’s year, month, day and hour of birth reduced to an I Ching hexagram gives us hexagram 7, lines 2 and 3. Hexagram 7 is The Army. It shows Jackson to have been a leader destined to prosper, but if he did not work to improve his internal state he was also destined to have a hard and short life. The astrological signs of the hexagram show Jackson flourishing earlier and becoming exhausted later on. He died in an emotional condition of want.

T. Raphael Simons will be on The Explore Your Spirit with Kala Show this Fall. Check back for the official show date coming soon.

As an update to this blog post, we asked Raphael, why are so many people passing over right now.. read his reply here:

Why So Many People Are Passing Over Right Now

In response to the question why so many people are passing over right now, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, the flight from Rio to Paris and another flight over the ocean that crashed last night, and so on, I looked at the New Moon Chart and calculated the Part of Death (the Ascendent + the 8th house cusp – Moon). The Part of Death in the New Moon chart is in the 11th house opposite Uranus in the 5th house, and its solstice point is conjunct the New Moon in the 9th house. Translated to plain English, the chart shows surprising deaths in the entertainment field, disasters to vacationers, and fatal accidents in flights over the ocean. To confirm this, the New Moon in the house of traveling was opposite Pluto, universal significator of death. The Part of Death in the Summer Solstice chart is square the Sun, ruler of the 5th house in the 3rd house. This means that the Summer Solstice chart says we are getting news of deaths to people in the entertainment field, as well as vacationers and travelers.

Power Tools: Practical Strategies for Consciously Aligning with Your Spirit

julia_rogers_hamrick2

Practice your “listening” skills

When you surrender to your Spirit, you need to then listen for guidance and be available to act on it. This will become a habit, and you’ll find that the more surrendered you are, the more your ideas and actions will naturally be in alignment, but if this is new to you, playing the “What Would You Like Me To Do Now?” game gives you practice in staying attentive and attuned.

Here’s how you play: Give yourself a set time period for playing in this kind of focused way (though you’ll really want to make this your 24/7, 365 strategy!) An hour or several will work. Express your intention to your Spirit to follow its guidance. Then, simply say to your Spirit, “What would you like me to do now?” and wait for a response. When the response comes, act on it.

Whatever it is that comes to you to do is probably it—whatever feels harmonious and that you have energy for. If it feels really good, or like a relief, to do it, you know your interpretation of the guidance was accurate. If you feel strong resistance to doing it, or your attitude about it is less than loving, it is probably your ego horning in with its own ideas about what you should do. “Shoulds” are not from your Spirit! When it’s time to do the challenging stuff, it will become easy and you’ll be internally motivated and energized. No forcing allowed here, as that means it’s not guidance from your Spirit.

If it’s not clear to you what your Spirit is “saying,” simply do whatever feels authentically good to you because that is always what your Spirit wants you to do!

As soon as you complete the thing, ask again, “”What would you like me to do now?”

Don’t edit the messages coming through, and don’t get hung up on any ideas of loftiness or whether or not what you feel guided to do fits some agenda or other—simply do it, even if it doesn’t make sense. You may feel silly, or even self-indulgent, but that’s okay. Judgment will not advance you in this game.

Keep your focus on your Spirit and your willingness to take action on its guidance. Unless whatever it is poses a danger to yourself or others, keep doing what you “hear” and “feel” to do, and after each task, ask “What would you like me to do now?”

Enjoy the adventure!

More about Julia Rogers Hamrick…..

book-edenJulia Rogers Hamrick, visionary author and teacher, has been a spiritual-growth facilitator since 1982 when she underwent a radical spiritual awakening, including an occurrence of spontaneous cosmic consciousness, as a result of surrendering her life to Spirit in response to a health crisis. With this experience as the foundation, her teaching focuses on deliberately creating new realities through managing our vibrational state, with an emphasis on the relationship between vibrational frequency and our experience of life. Most recently, in a whisper from the Divine, Julia was gifted with the remembrance of the parallel reality called Easy World, “where everything is easy.” Upon sharing this extremely simple concept, it began spreading like wildfire as people at all points of spiritual evolution have clicked with the words, “I live in Easy World, where everything is easy,” have found their lives transforming with utmost ease, and have shared Easy World with others. Her new book Choosing Easy World is due to be released soon.  More info at: www.juliarogershamrick.com or  www.iliveineasyworld.com

The Essence of the Goddess in Fashion & Art

Amy_ZernerMy one-of-a-kind Goddess jackets, cover-ups and coats are composed of sophisticated combinations of rich, elegant and exotic fabrics and trims, all appliquéd and carefully tailored into timeless, glamourous garments imbued with serene beauty and enchantment.

I specialize in creating luxury masterworks that fuse fashion and art. For the client that requires a special order, a brief but meaningful conversation enables me to incorporate my client’s distinctive style, colors, and symbols. The resulting work of art is meant not only to be worn or displayed, but to promote protection, hope, courage, and joy.

pastedGraphicAs my work has progressed, so has my interest in how ancient cultures used art and how that might relate to the art coming through me and its place in our world today. My fabric collage paintings are descended from the ancient Persian and Oriental concept that art should be used as a cultural tool to remind us of the beneficial power of Harmony and Beauty—the Divine effects of the creation of art.

I also feel connected to other cross-cultural ritualistic art, especially the mysterious power of the meditative “Tonkas” of Tibet and bur¬mese”Kalagas” of the 19th century, not just because they are also elaborately appliquéd and embroidered hangings of the mythological significance but because, like my work, they are conscious attempts to produce work that is, as André Malraux wrote in the “The Metamorphosis of the Gods”, “Sacred art—art that imposed the presence of another world.”

The central panel of each of my Spiritual Couture garments is made of precious, carefully chosen silks and brocades, velvets and satins, and special ribbons, embellishments and trims. Each is reinforced by the beauty, the rarity, and the uniqueness of the combined variations to imbue each garment with vitality, affirmation and ceremonial intent.

The act of seeing these embroidered mythological gardens come to life is itself a potent form of visual meditation. It creates a condition that is regenerative of our sense of our own possibilities and divinity. When these garments are worn, we can become the essence of The Goddess, and remember our true beauty and power. We can become the deep mystery of ultimate spiritual experience where concepts and explanations are transcended.

My creations are in the collection of many notable women including Elizabeth Taylor, Patti LaBelle, Shirley MacLaine, Oprah, Goldie Hawn, and Martha Stewart and are sold through Bergdorf Goodman in NYC  and my website  www.TheEnchantedWorld.com.

Amy made me a special entrance coat to wear on stage and I must tell you…every time I wear it the audience goes wild! I keep my back to the audience for about 5 minutes so that they can get a chance to take it all in. I def feel like a queen when I wear it! Her pieces give me a better understanding of how richly ornamented and special Joseph’s coat of many colors (Genesis) had to be. They are all poetic works of art!”

Your True Vibrations

elizabeth_harperAll living things vibrate with energy. To me this energy appears as color. As a child whenever I was bored I would daydream. This was a frequent occurrence when I was in school. It’s not that I didn’t like school; there were just some subjects that didn’t appeal to me. What did interest me however, was that during my lapses into la-la land I could see colored lights around the heads and shoulders of my teachers. My mother who was one of the pioneers of yoga in Britain taught me the yogi philosophies, a wonderful foundation for my enquiring mind and the basis of most teachings today. When I told her about the lights she could hardly contain her excitement. She knew exactly what I was seeing, but proceeded to get my eyes tested just in case. My eyes were fine I was seeing auras, the electromagnetic vibration of life visible to psychics as color.

I learned what each color meant from my mother and from the few books available on the subject of auras and colors. When I told anyone what colors I saw the usual reaction would be, “What does that mean?”  I could offer up a basic interpretation, but it never felt complete – something was missing. Then I discovered color therapy. This gave me a greater understanding of the meaning of individual and combined colors and set the tone for my future work. In addition, training as a psychic medium solidified my gifts and gave me the confidence to interpret color using intuitive insight and connection with my guides.

Color has a language that can help us define and embrace our inner world. We are made of light and thanks to Sir Isaac Newton we know that white light is the source of all color. Shone through a prism, we can see how light divides into a spectrum of colored rays. Raindrops act as prisms when sunlight splits into a rainbow. Newton described colors as “visual vibrations,” like musical notes.

I am often asked, “What color am I?” The answer to this question is not that simple. We are complex creatures comprised of many layers. When I see clients I usually describe what I do as looking into their “vibrational wardrobe of outfits.” Take a look at the clothes in your physical wardrobe – how many different colors are there? You probably have more than one color. Well it’s the same in your vibrational energy field.

Some of the colors in your energy field can be more dominant while others may be completely missing. If a color is absent then wearing, eating or drinking the missing color can simply replace its essence. This is essentially the basis of Color Therapy. For example, red is an energizing color. If you are low on energy then maybe you lack red in your energy field. To counteract this you can wear red, eat red foods such as beets, or/and drink red fruit juices. You can also replace a missing color using color visualization or by drinking solarized water – water placed in a colored glass and positioned in direct sunlight for at least 24 hours. The resulting water will contain the vibrational energy of the vessel’s color. This method can be used to bring all the colors of the rainbow into the physical to encourage balance, healing and wholeness. My mother used to fill seven colored vases with water reflecting the seven major chakras and then drink a little from each one every day, a kind of light spectrum supplement.

My work with color inspired me to create a number of tools for healing, self-understanding, and prediction. In my consultations I advise my clients to use color to enhance their lives and to encourage particular energies. For this I designed a line of color healing jewelry and was inspired to call it Rainbow Spirit.  Each piece of jewelry has a name and purpose. For instance, pink is the color of unconditional love. If you want more love in your life then you can surround yourself with pink. Whenever someone talks about someone or something they love their energy fills with pink. As a color-healing tool the jewelry works so well that when I give consultations I have to take my bracelets off, otherwise I see my clients through the colors of my own energy field.

One of the ways we subconsciously use color is in our clothes.  I am always aware of the colors I intuitively choose every day. When my energy is low I tend to wear red. If I select black then I know that my soul is telling me that I need to protect my sensitivity. And, when I combine orange with violet it usually means that I am going to need some form of emotional healing.

Here are a few colors with some of their meanings, their gifts (positive) and challenges (negative), and when to wear or not to wear them.

Red

Symbolizing awakening red exudes power, energy, and a passion for life. Red is known to heal sexual difficulties and anemia.
Gift: movement; new beginnings; decisions; passion; love; energy; life; security
Challenge: anger; frustration; lethargy; nervousness.
Wear red when:
You want to stimulate your sexuality.
Your energy is low and you need a boost.
You want to be more assertive and want to make things happen faster.
Don’t wear red when:
You are feeling nervous.
You don’t want attention.
You are feeling frustrated and angry with everyone.

Orange

Often worn by eastern aesthetics, orange is associated with vibrant health. It has the same vibrational frequency as DNA, the template of all human cells. This color is known to heal shock.
Gift: creativity; new ideas; confidence; joy; sensuality; ambition; sports; childhood
Challenge: shock; fear of survival; dependency; letting go; control.
Wear orange when:
You want to have fun and your sensual circuits need a boost!
You need to heal your emotions.
You want to heighten your creativity
Don’t wear orange when:
You want to relax your feminine/masculine charms.
You feel restless.
You want to take a rest.

Yellow

A color often worn by entertainers because it makes them stand out in a crowd and confronts the challenge of being the center of attention. Yellow is known to heal the digestive tract.
Gift: freedom; optimism; mental activity: concentration: open-mindedness
Challenge: fear; no boundaries; negativity; timidity.
Wear yellow when:
You need to attend to details.
You are studying and need to keep your mind awake.
You want to infuse some joy into your life.
Don’t wear yellow when:
You feel fear.
You don’t want to be the center of attention.
You want to relax your mind.

Green

Those seeking their own identity, fulfillment of their heart’s desire, and/or are searching for a new direction, are drawn to wear this color. By doing so they are challenged to find ways of creating their own abundance. Green heals the heart, eases tension, and regenerates cells.
Gift:  security; abundance; nature; heart matters; new space/beginnings; balance.
Challenge: unrealistic; shying away from people/society; stagnancy.
Wear green when:
You want to see things from a different perspective.
You desire to feel more space around you.
You need both feet on the ground.
Don’t wear green when:
You are confused about where life is taking you.
You feel your life is stagnant.
You don’t want to face the truth of a situation.

Blue

“True blue” symbolizing devotion to duty is a color worn by many authority figures – nurses, policemen, etc. Those who consistently wear blue are considered deep thinkers and tend to re-energize by seeking their own company above that of others.
Gift:  authority; peace; organized; practical; devotion; structure; communication
Challenge: aloofness; control issues; isolation; depression; martyrdom.
Wear blue when:
You want to exude an air of calm authority.
You need to be more organized.
You want to communicate something important.
Don’t wear blue when:
You are feeling isolated or lonely.
You feel depressed.
You are being critical of both yourself and others.

Violet

Violet can indicate major change and a need to retreat, as a caterpillar retreats into a cocoon before it transforms into a butterfly.
Gift:  transformation; spiritual self-realization; truth; creativity; recovery; healing. Challenge: pain; misuse of power; bruising; looking for a way out; grief; unemotional.
Wear violet when:
You want to transform something in your life.
You are seeking purpose in your life.
You need to let go of destructive behavior or addictions.
Don’t wear violet when:
You are daydreaming instead of doing.
You want to turn your back on society.
You are grieving but your emotions are blocked.

Pink

Pink symbolizes unconditional love. Wearing it encourages a sense of affection, increases sensitivity, and challenges you to confront your vulnerabilities.
Gift: unconditional love; affection; flirting; open to love; hearing.
Challenge: lack of self-love/self-esteem; healing grief; immaturity; vulnerable.
Wear pink when:
You want to feel feminine and vulnerable.
You want others to love you instantly.
You need to concentrate and listen.
Don’t wear pink when:
You feel vulnerable and insecure.
You are giving and not receiving.
You feel fragmented.

Brown

The symbolism of this color is based in part on the natural world. For instance soil offers some insight into the meaning of brown. Soil is used to grow food, it can be fertile or dry, and at a certain level in the earth the temperature stays static.
Gift:  security; practicality; work; money; commitments; determination to succeed.
Challenge: loss of security; lack of money; fear of survival.
Wear brown when:
You need to get down to some hard work.
You want to organize your finances.
You want to feel that everything in your life is going well.
Don’t wear brown when:
You want to expend lots of energy.
You are feeling too bogged down with things.
You are not interested in hard work and want to play instead.

Turquoise

Known to enhance healing of the immune system. Native Americans use the semi-precious stone Turquoise as an allergy healer.
Gift: communication; lecturing; media; creativity; immune system healer.
Challenge: inability/unwilling to communicate; poor defense; rejection
Wear turquoise when:
You are lecturing – wear around the throat.
You want to tap into your creativity through dance, music, art, etc.
You want to connect with your own spirituality.
Don’t wear turquoise when:
You feel rejected.
You don’t want to talk about it!
You are more interested in yourself and not others.

You are made of light – you are made of color. Color consciousness is a wonderful way to get to know yourself better. You don’t need someone to tell you what color you are. Just close your eyes and say, “What color am I today?” Without judgment, allow the answer to come to you and when it does follow up with, “What does that mean? Or, “If I knew what would that mean?”

I am constantly learning about color not from books, but from my own inner-tuition, my guides, and by my creative inspiration. Color is fun. Play with it and a whole new world will open up to you.
