Prepare for the Transition to a New Era with 2012: Dawn of a New Age Conference at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.

This conference will explore the prophecies of mathematicians, astronomers, researchers, and mystics. Join Mayan elder Don Carlos Barrios; expert authors, including Daniel Pinchbeck, Carl Johan Calleman, Geoff Stray, Dr. Christine Page, and John Van Auken; and astronomer James Mullaney. Don Carlos Barrios is a historian, researcher, anthropologist, and author of the forthcoming Book of Destiny: Unlocking the Secrets of the Ancient Mayans and Prophecy of 2012. Born in Guatemala, he made his home in Huehuetenango, the dwelling place of the Maya Mam tribe, known as the “keepers of time.” He studied with traditional elders for 25 years, becoming a Mayan Ajq’ij, a ceremonial priest, shaman, and spiritual guide. He will lead an optional Mayan Sacred Fire Ceremony designed to create a vortex of energy on Sunday, July 26.

Carl Johan Calleman, PhD, holds a doctorate in physical biology from the University of Stockholm. He has been a senior researcher at the University of Washington and served with the World Health Organization (WHO). A world-renowned expert on the Mayan calendar, he is the author of The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness and the forthcoming The Purposeful Universe.

Geoff Stray has been studying the meaning of 2012 for 25 years, and his research was compiled into the Web site Diagnosis2012.co.uk, the Internet’s leading 2012 database. Author of 2012 In Your Pocket and The Mayan and Other Ancient Calendars, he has appeared in numerous films including 2012: The Odyssey and Timewave 2013.

Daniel Pinchbeck, author of 2012: The Return of Quetzelcoatl and Breaking Open the Head, had a profound spiritual crisis in his late twenties that led him to the study of shamanism. He became convinced of the legitimacy of the shamanic and mystical worldview held by the indigenous peoples of the world and its importance to our society and our immediate future. John Van Auken, a longtime staff member of A.R.E. is one of our most popular speakers on ancient mysteries and mystical spirituality. He has appeared on several television programs, including the Discovery Channel’s Search for Atlantis and the History Channel’s Digging for the Truth. He is the author of Ancient Egyptian Mysticism, Edgar Cayce on the Revelation, and other books and is the editor of A.R.E.’s Ancient Mysteries newsletter.

Dr. Christine Page, a mystical physician with more than 30 years of experience as a doctor and homeopath, received her medical degree from London University. The author of 2012 and the Galactic Center and other books, she is also a gifted intuitive, teacher, and speaker, a messenger and bridge-builder between different worlds—whether among modalities of health care or levels of consciousness. James Mullaney, FRAS, author of Edgar Cayce and the Cosmos and other books, is an astronomy writer, lecturer, consultant, former curator of the Buhl Planetarium, and more recently director of the DuPont Planetarium. He served as editor for Sky & Telescope, Astronomy, and Star & Sky magazines, and was recently elected a fellow of the prestigious Royal Astronomical Society of London.

Opened to all, the 2012: Dawn of a New Age Conference is scheduled for July 23-26, at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E., 215 67th Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. Admission fee is $295, with special pricing for a single day or single presentations. An optional pre-conference presentation on the Aquarian Age will be led by popular Cayce teacher, Peter Woodbury on Thursday, July 23, for an additional $35 fee. A traditional Mayan Sacred Fire Ceremony, led by Mayan elder Carlos Barrios is scheduled for Sunday, July 26, for an additional fee of $35. Pre-registration is required and enrollment is limited for this special event. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for this conference are approved by IACET and provided by Atlantic University.
